Prerequisites
Be able to recognise the Arabic alphabet and have a basic ability to read the Qur’an.
Catering for those who:
- Have not formally been taught how to read the Arabic alphabet
- Unable to read the Qur’an fluently
Eligibility
Open to both brothers and sisters (16+)
Course Timings
- The course starts from the week beginning 13 September 2021
- 4 hours per week
- Weekday or weekend classes available
- Monday: 0930 – 1330 (Online - Sisters Only)
- Thursday: 0930 – 1330 (Onsite - Sisters Only)
- Saturday and Sunday: 0930 – 1330 (Online - Sisters Only)
- Monday and Wednesday: 0930 – 1130 (Onsite - Brothers Only)
- 33 teaching weeks
Course Outline
An elementary course focusing on:
- Introduction of Tajweed
- Understanding the meaning of Lahen (mistakes)
- Covering the Rules of Meem and Noon
- Practicing reading using the Qaidah
- Reading (Tilaawah) half of Juzz Ama (Chapter 30 of the Qur’an) with the teacher
- Memorizing (Hifdh)the last 3 surah’s of the Qur’an with the correct Tajweed
- Hadeeth of the day
- The study of the Fiqh of Salah to ensure salah is being performed correctly
Assessment
Regular classroom-based assessment and an end of year assessment
Course Fee
£230 for the academic year
Students will receive for this fee:
- a) Studying under a qualified and experienced teacher
- b) Receive constant monitoring of performance
- c) Regular classroom-based assessments
The course book (Qaida) must be purchased in advance from the Sister’s Office
Important Information:
A payment of £30 is required to secure a place on the course (this will be deducted from the course fees, however if you withdraw from the course this will be non-refundable)

- The fees must be paid in full by 31st January 2022, failure to do so may result in removal from the course
- Should you withdraw from the course at any point, fees due to the date of withdrawal must be paid in full.
