SPEAKERS:

Sh. Wasee Ullah Abbas :

  • Professor at Umm Ul-Qura University, Makkah.
  • Khateeb at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah.
  • Renowned lecturer delivering talks around the world in Urdu and Arabic.


Assim Al-Hakeem:

  • He is currently occupying a managerial position in a leading global industrial company.
  • Graduate from Umm al Qura University - Makkah
  • He has been an Imam for the past 19 years, delivering Friday speeches and various lectures.
  • He has various participations in both Radio and television programs. He has presented programs for Saudi English TV channel, Radio channel, Al Majd 2nd channel and Huda channel.


Mamdouh Mohammed:

  • Dr Mamdouh Mohamed has a Ph.D in Arabic studies and a vast experience in teaching Arabic to English and Indonesian speaking students.
  • He is currently a professor and a consultant at the American Open University in Virginia. He has been a instructor at the Imam Muhammad Islamic University in Riyadh (KSA), and has also taught in Indonesia.
  • Dr Mamdouh has a keen interest in the sciences of the Quran and on the Seerah of the Prophet SAWS. He is a regular speaker at worldwide Islamic Conferences and has also produced various publications which include - An A-Z guide on Hajj and Umrah.

Abu Usamah Ath-Thahabi:

  • Abu Usamah was born in New Jersey in 1964. He embraced Islam in 1986 and went onto studying in the Islamic University of Madina for eight years where he graduated from the College of Da'wah and Usool-ad-Din (Aqeedah).
  • Abu Usamah has been blessed in studying with some of the greatest scholars of our time, to name a few, Shaikh Umar Fulaatah at the Rawdah of the Prophet’s Mosque, Shaikh Muhammad 'Atiyyah Saalim (author of Tafsir 'Adwaa ul-Bayaan'), Shaikh Abdullah Muhammad al-Ghunaymaan, Shaikh Muhammad al-Jaami, Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan and many more. He was also very fortunate to have spent two summers in intensive study under Shaikh Ibn Baaz and Shaikh Ibn Uthaymin.
  • Abu Usamah has been very active in da'wah since the day he embraced Islam. He has been the Imam of various mosques in the United States and in the United Kingdom. His zeal and eagerness in conveying the true message of Islam has lead him to many parts of the world, delivering lectures and seminars, as well as translating for many scholars and du'aat from the Arab world.
  • He is currently the Imaam at Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham, which is a branch of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith (UK).


Haytem Al-Haddad:

  • Shaykh Haitham al-Haddad was born in Saudi Arabia and studied for 12 years with various scholars in Saudi Arabia including Shaykh Abdul Aziz bin Baz and Shaykh Abdullah bin Jibreen. He has an ijaza from Shaykh Abdullah bin Aqeel in Islamic jurisprudence and principles of Islamic jurisprudence.
  • Shaykh Haitham holds a BSc Honours in Law and Shari'ah from Omdurman University in Khartoum, Sudan. He also holds a BSc in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia) and is currently completing a PhD in Islamic Law at SOAS in London.
  • Shaykh Haitham sits on the board of advisors of a number of key Islamic organisations in the United Kingdom, including the Islamic Sharia Council of Britain. Shaykh Haitham al-Haddad’s speciality is in principles of Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic law and Islamic finance.

 


Murtaza Khan:

  • Abu Hasnayn Murtaza Khan graduated from the International Islamic University, Islamabad in June 2001 with BA Honours in Usool-ud-Din and has been actively involved in the field of da'wah for many years.
  • At present he is an Islamic Studies teacher in al-Noor Primary School, London . He is also a visiting khateeb at Al-Ansar Islamic Education Centre, Islamic Da'wah Centre and University of East London.
  • He has worked closely with numerous organisations and individuals to promote Islam and has translated and presented various seminars and lectures. He is involved in da'wah across the UK and travels extensively to promote and revive the pure and monotheistic religion of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims alike.


Abdur Raheem Green:

  • Abdur Raheem Green was born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania.
  • He embraced Islam in 1987 and since then he has been involved in daw'ah giving lectures all over the world including London's famous Hyde Park corner.
  • Currently, he is engaged in different activities including media work (Peace TV and Islam Channel)


Ahsan Hanif:

  • Ahsan Hanif was born and raised in Birmingham, UK.  
  • In 2001 he gained a scholarship to the Islamic university of Madinah where he studied for 6 years.  There he completed his diploma in Arabic and then went on further to graduate from the Faculty of Shariah in 2006. 
  • He was very fortunate to study under a number of scholars including Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Abbad and Sheikh Muhammad Mukhtar al-Shinqiti. 
  • He is currently an Imam at Green Lane Masjid where he delivers regular khutbahs and lectures. 
  • He also memorised the Quran by the age of 13 and has led the Tarawih prayers during the blessed month of Ramadhan.
