Re: Woolwich Attack on Solider is condemned by the Muslim Community
Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre (GLMCC) and the Muslim community of Birmingham is horrified at the killing of a serving British solider in Woolwich, London.
This is a barbaric act which has nothing to do with the Islamic faith; Islam is free of such absurd ideologies that are politically motivated.
A media spokesperson said, “This is such a horrific, cold blooded murder, it is sickening and a horrendous act against humanity. We condemn this attack in the strongest terms. ”
We ask our communities, Muslim and non-Muslim, to remain calm and let the Police conduct their investigation and to refrain from any speculation. We must also work together for the peace and security of our communities and society as a whole.
West Midlands Police have stepped up patrols throughout our city. We ask everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the police.
